Neither is better for everyone: it depends on your skin, the look you want and how long the day is, so try both at your trial.

You discuss the look you want, bring reference photos, and the artist tries makeup and hair on you so you can adjust before the big day. Wear a similar neckline to your wedding outfit if you can, and bring jewellery or a dupatta reference so the colours and style work together. Do it a few weeks before the wedding.
